Halal Food Scan AI ("we", "our", or "us") explains below what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, which third parties we use, and how subscription billing works. Questions can be sent to admin@maplebyte.xyz.
Ingredient text, photos, and scan inputs: When you scan a label or manually enter ingredients, the submitted text or image may be processed to generate a halal-focused result.
App activity and diagnostics: We may collect product usage events, crash diagnostics, device information, and interaction metrics to improve stability and understand feature usage.
Subscription status: If you subscribe, we receive entitlement and transaction status information needed to unlock premium access. Apple handles billing and payment details directly.
Support communications: If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
On-device history: Saved scan history and preferences remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app.
Submitted processing data: We aim to minimize retention and may keep request metadata, logs, or processed scan content for a short operational window, generally up to 30 days, to support reliability, abuse prevention, and debugging.
Support emails: Support conversations may be retained as long as necessary to resolve the issue and keep a record of the interaction.

The app offers two auto-renewing subscriptions: Weekly ($3.99) and Yearly ($29.99). Eligible users may see a 3-day free trial on the weekly plan. Payment is charged by Apple to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID settings. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, subject to Apple’s rules.
We share data only as needed to operate the service, complete analysis requests, manage subscriptions, measure reliability, comply with law, or protect the product from fraud and abuse.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can remove local scan history in the app, delete stored tokens, revoke camera access in device settings, or cancel your subscription through Apple. If you have questions about data handling, email us.
