CalorIA ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by MapleByte Digital Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, which third parties may process it, and how subscriptions are handled.
Meal photos and images: When you capture or upload a food image, the image may be transmitted to our AI processing stack so CalorIA can estimate calories, macros, and meal context.
Derived nutrition results: We may store meal labels, calorie estimates, macro estimates, timestamps, and product preferences so the app can show your history and daily progress.
Anonymous identifiers and product usage: We may collect an app-specific user ID, device-related identifiers, feature usage, and interaction events to operate subscriptions, measure product performance, and improve the experience.
Purchase status: If you subscribe, Apple handles billing and RevenueCat may process entitlement, offer, and purchase state information for subscription management.
Support contact details: If you email us, we will receive your email address and any information you include in the message.
OpenRouter: Used to route AI requests for food understanding and nutritional analysis. OpenRouter may process prompts, images, and limited request metadata according to its own policies.
RevenueCat: Used for subscription and entitlement management, including anonymous app user IDs, purchase state, and offer eligibility.
Mixpanel: Used for product analytics such as screen views, conversion events, and engagement patterns.
Apple: The App Store and your Apple ID handle payment processing, renewals, refunds, and subscription account management.
Meal photos: We aim to keep uploaded images only for the time required to process the request, unless storage is explicitly enabled for a product feature.
Derived meal history and preferences: Retained until you delete the data in the app, request deletion, or uninstall the app, subject to backup or infrastructure delays.
Analytics events: May be retained for a reasonable analysis window, typically up to 24 months, unless shorter retention is configured.
Support messages: Retained for as long as needed to resolve the issue and keep an operational record of the conversation.
CalorIA offers auto-renewing subscriptions, currently a weekly plan and a yearly plan. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the purchase is confirmed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple account settings. Prices may vary by territory and taxes may apply where required.
You can delete local data from the app, remove the app from your device, or contact us to ask about deletion of cloud-side records that may exist in analytics, subscription, or support systems.
